Entez Tutorial

Entrez is a retrieval system for searching several linked databases, these are a list of databases that can be searched using Entrez:

USE

PubMed The biomedical literature with access to over 11 million citations in MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE, and other related databases
Nucleotide sequence  database  GenBank (contains EMBL and DDBJ entries)
Protein sequence database compiled from a variety of sources, including SwissProt, PIR, PRF, PDB, and translations from annotated coding regions in GenBank and RefSeq
Structure three-dimensional macromolecular structures
Genome complete genome assemblies to over 800 organisms, all three main domains of life - bacteria, archaea, and eukaryota - are represented, as well as many viruses and organelles. 
PopSet population study data sets used to analyse the evolutionary relatedness of a population
Taxonomy organisms in GenBank 
OMIM Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man catalog of human genes and genetic disorders
